This film is a masterpiece. Every thing of The Pagemaster is outstanding. A performance that has no weak moments. The movie is an extraordinary piece of the moviemaking top class. It tells important lesson about how you should live your life to it's fullness. I am a huge fan of Pixote Hunt Joe Johnston and this movie was his finest work last time. The Pagemaster is one of those films where no sigle character gives a weak play. Not many "excellent" movies that have ever been released. Is The Pagemaster the best film of all time? I would put it in my top 5 for sure. The Pagemaster is a living masterpiece. This movie is an art, at it's very best form.

A storm forces frightened Richard Tyler (Macaulay Culkin) inside a nearby library for shelter. There Richard is transformed into an animated illustration by the Pagemaster. He has to work through obstacles from classic books to return to real life.
