One of the most original movies directed by Mike Nichols is Silkwood. A performance that has no weak moments. Silkwood is not just a simple film, it has an everlasting message. You do not need to like History films to enjoy time spent on watching this film. I am a huge fan of Mike Nichols and this movie was his finest work last time. I liked the characters, all of them, even the antagonists were unforgettable, especially Meryl Streep. I loved Silkwood from the first sight. Is Silkwood the best film of all time? I would put it in my top 5 for sure. Really I can't stop thinking about Silkwood.

This drama is based on the true story of Karen Silkwood (Meryl Streep), who works at a nuclear facility, who was purposefully contaminated, psychologically tortured and possibly murdered to prevent her from exposing blatant worker safety violations at the plant.
