Share with me the name of a movie that is more recognizable that North by Northwest... you won't find one. If the watcher does not like Adventure type of movies, he will watch the whole movie and have great fun. North by Northwest is without doubt the best Adventure movie, a new standard. There is no character in this movie that does not fit in. Alfred Hitchcock made this movie at a great steady pace along with amazing writing. All of the actors were worked very good, but my most liked one in this movie was Cary Grant. Not many "excellent" movies that have ever been released. From the start to the end I was impressed, and if you like well done movies I'm sure you'll feel same. North by Northwest is a living masterpiece. This movie is an art, at it's very best form.

The movie follows New York City ad executive Roger O. Thornhill as he looks for a way to survive while being pursued across the country by ruthless spy Phillip Vandamm after Thornhill is mistaken for a government agent.
