Originally, I did not like it that much, I found it rather very boring, until I watched it for the second time alone, without friends. My Beautiful Laundrette is without doubt the best Romance movie, a new standard. The movie is an extraordinary piece of the moviemaking top class. My Beautiful Laundrette has a reputation of one of the best films of all time. The direction is very sublime. Excellent pictures, tempo and scenes. The acting is just incredible (especially Saeed Jaffrey, I'm sure no one expected that). I never liked Romance titles so it's fair to say i never thought I'd love My Beautiful Laundrette. My Beautiful Laundrette is lika a mix of everything what a great film need, and the artistic style make the film very memorable. It's definitely worth to see.
