I saw it in 2016 in cinema. You do not need to like Action films to enjoy time spent on watching this film. The direction is very sublime. Excellent pictures, tempo and scenes. I liked the characters, all of them, even the antagonists were unforgettable, especially Kirsten Dunst. You know what? Midnight Special has changed my life. I mean my career. Midnight Special is lika a mix of everything what a great film need, and the artistic style make the film very memorable. Enjoy watching Midnight Special.
